As Director of the Selador Center, a nonprofit educational corporation, Andy Whaling, MFT oversees a variety of programs designed to enrich and empower relationships. In his private practice (Great Marriages Now) he works with individuals and couples who want to prepare for a great marriage, a lasting relationship, or improve the relationship they have now.

He is a frequent speaker on topics such as "Transforming Conflict into Closeness," "Winning the Power Struggle Together At Last" and "Setting Limits to Improve Your Family Life." He has been a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists for over 10 years, and is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the Glendale Area Mental Health Professional Association.

Before becoming a therapist, Andy worked for several Fortune 500 companies and privately-held firms. His last corporate position was as president of a software development firm. With masters degrees in Business, Theology, and Relationship Counseling, Andy brings a fresh and powerful perspective to the private lives of individuals, couples and families.

Andy’s wife of 14 years is a Registered Nurse, a licensed mental health therapist in California and operates her own business as an Executive and Personal Coach. She partners with him as a co-therapist when couples want a husband-wife therapist team to work with them. Their family includes two children 9 and 11, and a foster care child who lived with them from age 13 to 21.

Combining his warmth, humor and compassion with many years of training and practical experience, Andy provides a healing environment in which individuals and couples feel both safe and challenged to meet their full potential.
